Unless you've been living under a rock the past few years, you're at least familiar with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. If you're a fan, you definitely
know it was filmed in and around Albuquerque. What you may not know is that there is a Breaking Bad Store and Museum off the beaten path in Old Town, adjacent to the Square.
We stumbled on this gem today. It carries a collection of BB and BCS merchandise that would make Walter White proud. It also boasts a full museum of show props, stage sets, and signed memorabilia. If you're lucky, you may even catch one of the cast members hanging around signing merch for the patrons when they're in town. According to the owner, the store was used as a "dry run" in January for some members of the cast who had never been to ComicCon. They interacted with customers for 7 hours. How cool!
While you're there, you're also likely to hear lots of stories from the owners about filming and the cast. It is definitely the coolest place to wander through if you're a fan or even if you're just BB curious. As for merch, they have everything under the sun from apparel, glassware, signed pictures and posters, beakers, aprons, and just about anything else you can put a logo on. It's almost overwhelming,
but immersing yourself in the BB world is heaven for a fan.
While you're in Albuquerque, head on over to the Square. You're only steps away from the world of Breaking Bad. And as Walter said, "Steps never change, and I know every step."
