It's Only As Expensive As You Make It

“Money’s only something you need in case you don’t die tomorrow.” – Carl, Wolf of Wall Street

RVing can save you money every month. It truly can. We are a military family so we can stay at bases across the US which are generally less than $500/month all in including power, water, sewer, cable and wifi. We choose to have our own mobile wifi service through AT&T and a small device that works great no matter where we are. We also have only streaming services and an antenna on our roof for whatever local channels we can pick up where we land.

We stay at other RV parks in areas where there is no military installation and those are more expensive. Weekly and monthly rates are substantially cheaper so we plan to stay in the areas we like for longer periods. If you don’t have access to bases, your monthly rates will be closer to $600-1000/mo depending on the area and amenities you require. Spaces for smaller rigs that pull less power are also cheaper. Many variables, but the result is the same…less expensive to tow your home.
