Planning Your Trips
A great way to keep your marriage together
If you're like us, you have differing opinions of where to go and the route you take. RVing takes alot more organization and planning than you would think. RV Parks and national parks require reservations and some are booked a year or so in advance. Take it from me and try RVLife. It lets you plan your trip down to the last detail and keeps the peace.
Military Base RV Parks
MWRs are a great option for military and veterans.
If you are a member of the military, a disabled veteran, or reservist, you can stay in any military installation RV park with a valid ID. These parks are usually on base or base adjacent and are substantially less expensive than a standard RV park. The rates vary, but you can usually reserve by night for as low as $25/night. They also have longer term options such as weekly or monthly for under $500/month depending on location. These parks have great amenities and are close to the Commissary and Exchange.
Tips for Veterans on the Road
Veterans and DAVs have benefits you may not be aware exist. It's definitely worth checking out.
Veterans that RV have access to alot of benefits including free National Park passes, reduced fishing and gaming licenses in some states, travel discounts, discounted event and sports tickets, and many more. We've taken advantage of many of these and more information can be found at the link below.
